Referees for U-17 World Cup in Mexico ready

The Rwandan football federation has published the list of match officials for the U-17 World Cup this summer. The tournament will be played in Mexico between 18th of June and 10th of July.

These tournaments are used by Fifa to assess the candidates for the upcoming World Cup in 2014, and it is extremely rare that referees are selected to a World Cup without having been to one of the major Fifa tournaments first.

The next major Fifa tournament for prospective World Cup referees are the U-20 World Cup in Colombia, July 29 – August 20.

Terje Hauge blows final whistle
