Referee kit used in the Champions League final up for auction

The kit used by assistant referee Gábor Erös in the Champions League final last May is up for auction. Viktor Kassai’s assistant was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had surgery October last year.

The auction will run until August 16, and the current bid is on 81000 HUF.

You can buy assistant referee Gabor Eros’ jersey and referee Viktor Kassai’s cards used on Barcelona-Manchester United. Gabor was diagnosed as having kidney cancer and got surgery last october, and some months later he could officiate in the final in Wembley. It’s a charity auction for cancer foundations like Foundation For Children with Cancer.

This explains why Eros did not appear thus often last year.
Glad that he managed to beat the cancer.

Hmm, I wonder why this kit is green.
Actually, they wore the new dark one, black with green lines.
Perhaps it was the replacement-kit?
