The Paraguayan trio consisting of Carlos Amarilla and his two assistant referees Emigdio Ruiz Roa and Nicolás Adolfo Yegros will not be present in South Africa this summer, after Emigdio Ruiz Roa failed his fitness test this morning.
Emigdio Ruiz Roa was scheduled to re-take his fitness test after having injured himself during the previous test in the beginning of May. The injury was obviously influencing the performance of the experienced assistant, and he failed the test. In the recent World Cups, when one of the team fails the test, none gets to go.
Carlos Amarilla was appointed for three matches in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and being born in 1970, he will still be age-eligible to referee the 2014 World Cup.
It has previously been speculated that Uruguayan referee Mártin Vázquez and his assistants will be replacing Amarilla and his team.

Mohamed Benouza is also out, and FIFA won’t place anybody in your place, since Coffi Codjia is suspended.
Thanks for that information, I have published a post describing the current situation now. http://www.rodvand.net/martin/blog/2010/mohamed-benouza-misses-world-cup/
