Nicola Rizzoli from Italy has been appointed to the Europa League final by Uefa’s referees committee. He will take charge of the final game of the tournament between Atletico Madrid and Fulham on Wednesday.
The Italian has had an impressive Champions League season after having been promoted to the Elite category in June. He was last in charge of the quarter-final between Manchester United and Bayern München.

He fully deserves this appointment…..Great Referee!
I was correct. I knew Rizzoli would get the final because
1) He is a great referee
2) He did the italian cup final last week Internationale – Roma As and he was superb.
3) Collina thinks a lot of him. And don’t forget Collina is a member of the UEFA Referee’s Commitee.
