Phil Dowd with Carling Cup Final appointment

by Martin Rødvand on February 1, 2010

Refworld has announced that Phil Dowd will be the man in charge of the Carling Cup Final later this month. The final will be played at Wembley between Aston Villa and Manchester United February 28th.

Dowd will be assisted by Shaun Procter-Green and David Richardson, with Lee Mason as fourth official.

He was appointed to the select group in 2001, and acted as fourth official in the 2006 FA Cup Final. He has been a consistent performer in the Premier League the last decade, and is finally rewarded with a major final.
