Malian Koman Coulibaly has been selected to referee Sunday’s final between Egypt and Ghana in the African Cup of Nations. Coulibaly is one of the 38 referees preselected for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa. He is one of the five candidates from the Confederation of African football.
This year’s tournament in Angola has been riddled with controversial situations, the semi-final between Algeria and Egypt being the latest one. Hopefully Coulibaly can keep the teams under control and be part of a good final in Luanda.
Coulibaly will be assisted by Evarist Menkouande of Cameroon and Morocco’s Achik Redouane.
