Premier League ref Mark Halsey in cancer battle

by Martin Rødvand on August 22, 2009

It was reported earlier this week that longtime Premier League referee Mark Halsey had undergone surgery to remove a tumour from his throat. Halsey refereed the opening match of the season on Emirates stadium last weekend. He was then set to be the fourth official at Turf Moor, but later replaced for obvious reasons.

The PGMO website, Refworld, have published some information if anyone wants to send their personal best wishes.
