Referees forced to withdraw after injuries

Two of the ten trios appointed to referee in the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa this June was forced to withdraw after a fitness test. Carlos Batres from Guatamala and Carlos Amarilla from Paraguay both suffered injuries during the test.

Carlos Batres’ team has been replaced by Benito Archundia from Mexico while Pablo Pozo from Chile has replaced Carlos Amarilla.

The tournament will be played 14-28th of June in South Africa.
