UEFA announced today that Italian referee Roberto Rosetti with assistants Paulo Calcagno and Stefano Ayroldi, and Nicola Rizzoli as fourth official will be in charge of Tuesday’s semi-final in the Champions League. The match will be played on Emirates Stadium in London between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Roberto Rosetti last summer refereed the final in EURO 2008 and has previously refereed in the 2006 World Cup. Last season of the Champions League Rosetti took charge of the all-English semi-final between Chelsea and Liverpool. He is also on the preselected list for referees with the possibility of going to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
